I am not Dina

Oh my Gosh, why do people compare me to Dina,,,,,,,,,,,,, Today, during a belly dance class to Egyptian girls between all excitement they asked me to make a special stage performance at the end of the class, then the comments arrived- Oh you dance like Dina, you have the soul, the spirit, technique,etcccc.

This coming from Egyptian girls its a honor, but I do not intend to imitate Dina at all, I dance what I fell just that. Oh, do not expect pictures, because its was settled that no pictures will be taken during this classes, you wonder why???- because in Egypt this dance its HARAM and only to be done by girls with girls and no one must know, its like doing something illegal.

Egypt or Portugual, here is the question????????

How can I choose between two countries that I love, everyday my mind is in speeding dial. Everyone says to me that Portugal is completely broke and also that Egypt its about to collapse in several ways. I know all that and I try to compare both countries every day, lets see:

Portugal: Clean, green, beautiful mountains, no people, deserted, my own language, freedom of speech, no harassment, I can be  human again, expensive, no jobs, snow........

Egypt: Polluted, amazing sunset, funny Egyptians character ( Cartoon Style in the street) thousands of them, cheap, hot, still some jobs, no freedom, high number of sexual harassment, becoming extremely religious, noisy...........

Conclusion: A normal person would say: WTF are u thinking, money its not everything, life quality its much more important.................... Well my heart cries when I think to leave, I am nuts for sure.

How the hell a person gets two days Off and does not show up for work 10 times per month is always tired, its crepping,

Every single day he comes to me and Says -( I have an issue, need to rest).

Man wake up, I am also tired and I am working a lot, what is your problem.

You learn to be so patient in Egypt, really ( Everyone who knew me before five years ago, knows that I was not patient at all, how a country can change people, remarkable).

What I fell 4 May 2011

I fell that my life freezed since 25 January ( 3 months ago), my new house work its going really slow, the intention of buying a car is delayed, to open a new business also. Everything related to expend money I am being very strict.

The issue its related to elections, till now the future in Egypt its like a dense fog , what will happen in the future, what will happen if suddenly there is another revolution, if the next government will be worst.

Its so hard to live like an hanged man, yes its what i fell, hanged.

My criminal record 4 May 2011

My criminal record

Ok...........I am Egyptian, now I have to follow the normal citizen rules. To have an Egyptian work contract I have to take my criminal record, yes its true.

Woke up at 8 AM , take a taxi to the police station, buy the form and fill it and wait for the next window. Here all my fingers got stamped with a black ink, the guy who was doing it was very nice with me and even got me a lot of soap to clean my hands.

Final result my file its clean, did not commit any murder, lol

Birthday Party 3 May 2011

Yesterday I had the pleasure to organize a surprise birthday party for one of my dearest friends, I bought the ballon s , tree really good cakes from Trianon and a present for the guy ( t-shirt from famous DJ Tiesto), etc........

The party was really small for only close friends in the middle of the day and as all of us are full of work we took 15 minutes to celebrate.

I can say that I was very shy when they told me that I am a good party organizer, everything was really great and a we sang in English an in Arabic everyone was really happy and relaxed, thanks guys you are the best.

4 April 2011 ( My first test drive after 5 years)

Well I have been in Egypt for 5 years and since then I do not drive a car, to scare to do so in this crazy city :(

But today I was a brave girl( really want to buy a car) and got out at 1pm to drive a small and very sweet Suzuki and gess what I still know how to drive, he he he.

After practizing a new show for 3 hours its really good to achieve something else that I want to do for so long, driving again. :)

So many people ask me if I voted, and yes I did , I'm Egyptian and I have to assert my opinion.

I was born and lived in Portugal and I am proud of my country of origin, but my heart is not able to separate from the Egyptian magic anymore, when I was in Portugal and I closed my eyes I saw the streets of Cairo , the image of Citadel and the night lights in my head.

I can not explain the reason of this love, I thought until very recently that what made ​​me stay here was the fact that I fell in love with a man and Oriental dance.

Wrong I was very wrong, Egypt and Oriental dance are my passion and soul.

Once I have have declared open war to my travel agency (canceled my flight 2 times) finally I got back to Cairo, I never left an airport so fast, it was empty and the fact that I did not need visa helped a lot .

To my surprise I had a lot of people waiting for me, friends, family, flags only my cat was missing , everyone hugged me, said they missed me:). I was so happy that it seemed that I had left the playground and I was a child again, waiving flags........

Secret-I am very proud to be Egyptian and Portuguese also , except that this time my Egyptian side was really on fire :)
